CURRENT SHOWS

Copistes
Pompidou Metz Center, France
June 14, 2025 - February 2, 2026

In exceptional collaboration with the Louvre Museum, from June 14, 2025 to February 2, 2026, the Centre Pompidou-Metz is dedicating an unprecedented exhibition of copyist creation. Copying is at the heart of the classical tradition: to copy from the masters, to learn from them techniques, canons, stories, to absorb their expertise, it is to make our own their mastery, it is a way for knowledge and creation, from the most academic to the most contemporary.

Several artists have received an invitation from the two associate curators: "Imagine a copy of your chosen work kept in the collections of the Louvre Museum."

In the form of a free journey, whose scenography revives the forms of museum presentation, all eras are confused – from Antiquity to the 19th century – manifesting the coexistence of all times of the Louvre.

TOUS LÉGER!
Luxembourg Museum, Paris
19 March - 20 July 2025

Thanks to an unprecedented partnership between two major collections of the Côte d'Azur, the works of Niki de Saint Phalle, Arman, Yves Klein, Raymond Hains, Martial Raysse, and César meet the plastic innovations of Fernand Léger, one of the 20th-century pioneers.

Alongside these leading representatives of New Realism, works by artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and later Keith Haring illustrate the early artistic exchanges between European creation and the American scene. The exhibition, which comprises nearly 100 works, takes a playful and creative approach to different themes: the diversion of objects, the representation of bodies and leisure activities, or the place of art in public spaces.
